Anne HamiltonAnne studied textiles at Matlock College, in 1999 she gained a BA in Fine Art and in 2003 obtained her Masters Degree. 'Cat Litter' is one of a series of 12 illustrations of the poem 'The Owl and the Pussycat' by Edward Lear. In the making Anne collected rubbish from Newbury's parks and byways and then transformed it into something magical. Anne works as a volunteer for Mencap and helps people with learning difficulties. To celebrate the work of that team all of the profits form her paintings will go to Mencap Availabiltiy : originals and limited edition prints Ruth InceRuth studied at Falmouth College of Art and gained a BA in Graphic design at the University of Northumbria. She works in a variety of media and combines this with her interest in technology to produce original digital images. She works in a variety of media including oil, watercolour and pastel. She is interested in large scale work and created murals for the Newbury Corn Exchange pantomime.She helped children to create an exciting mural as part of the Newbury Fringe Festival. As an experienced teacher Tessa is interested in creating an environment that is conductive to learning and creativity. She teaches evening classes locally and in her own home. She has had a number of exhibitions in London and the South of England Availability : originals Jean Picton"I am a colourist, I hope that people feel the emotion of the colour in my work" Jean's life and career reads like a screenplay. Born in London to the sound of Bow Bells before the 2nd World War, most of her childhood was spent in air raid shelters before being evacuated to the South coast.At the age of 14 Jean ran away to join the circus, her career got underway and she never looked back. Throughout the 1950's Jean toured Variety theatres in the UK before becoming one of the famous Windmill girls! Later on in her illustrious theatrical career she became involved in directing and producing for theatre, working extensively in television both in the UK and America. Some years ago Jean began to paint professionally training both at Central St. Martins, London before gaining a BA Hons Fine Art Degree at Hatfield University.She is a Fellow of the Digswell Arts Trust and has exhibited her work throughout the UK and Europe. She is represented by some of the UK's leading galleries and her work is collected widely. Availability : originals Deborah RogersDeborah is a Newbury resident and obtained a degree in Fine Art at Loughborough University.Having sold many originals Deborah is best known for her murals.Many are on children's themes and are individually designed by her according to the child's wishes and desires. Others are commissioned to represent a certain view or place.As well as being commissioned for bespoke pieces, Deborah has been asked by clients to paint murals for them in their homes across the world. As a young boy he was tutored by one of the best known painters in Bulgaria – Botio Botrev.Due to his success exhibiting in Bulgaria Nicolia was commissioned by German, Belgian and Spanish galleries to produce work.He now lives in Newbury with his wife and continues to produce his own brand of unique work. The demand for his work is high and many individual clients have more than one piece in their collection. Availability : originals and limited edition prints Diane UrwinDiane is a Berkshire artist, born and educated in Nottingham, with a lifelong interest in art, who, having raised a family, has devoted herself to her art work for the past 16 years.After studying full time under a professional artist/illustrator for three years, Diane set up her own studio producing illustrations for stories in magazines, as well as a variety of still life, streetscapes and landscape painting. Her favourite medium is acrylic paint which she finds very versatile enabling creation painting with an oil or watercolour effect. Diane has held successful one-person exhibition in England & Ireland.She has been a full member of the Society of the Woman Artists (SWA) and the United Artists (UA), since 1997. She has won 'Best in Show' at the annual UA exhibition in London in 2001 with a still life painting and at the annual SWA exhibition in London in 2002 won the specially sponsored section for 'best work with a Japanese Theme Availability : originals and limited edition prints Jean WallisBased in rural West Berkshire Jean paints and draws from life, from memory and imagination. She refuses to be tied down to any one style and is unconcerned with exact appearance. She exploits al the qualities of her chosen materials in her quest to reveal the essence of her subject.Jean has won several awards for her painting including in 2000, the prestigious Spink-Ledger (Newbury Spring Festival) Painting Prize. Her work can be found in private collections throughout the UK and in Australia.
